I am about 99% moved into my new office. While I lose my window, I gain more square footage. The extra space was justified by combining my office with a library. I just spent most of the day re-arranging shelves and files to optimize the space I was given. The biggest coup was moving my workspace so that an attached credenza essentially forms a wall to people entering my office. They have to walk around it to see if I'm at my desk. Our purchasing person who is spearheading all of the moves told me I couldn't do that. I basically told him to bite me. My supervisor really doesn't care. That's all that matters to me! So now I have a nice secluded bear den. This has been my 6th move in 15 years. Jeez. Do you think I can finally stay put until I retire?!?
