As a geologist, the town of Parkfield, CA is well known to me because it sits almost directly on the San Andreas Fault. The USGS has the entire area heavily instrumented in the effort to predict quakes. There is a little cafe which is known for its motto "Be here when it happens!," "it" being "the Big One." I had always wanted to visit the place but it really and truly is in the middle of nowhere. This year I decided to make the extra effort to go there. So I dragged Al and Dex along with me for the little adventure as a slight detour on our way to FC. Since Al and I had our fursuits with us, we thought we'd do a little guerrilla suiting.
While we were taking pics, a couple of chicks in a bitchin' Camaro pulled up and joined us for some pic fun.
Here's the famous water tank from the cafe that has now been moved down from the roof.
