Kitty and I somehow managed to stomach the entire 3.5-hour SNL special on NBC last night. I think it summed up the 40 years of the show very well. When the comedy clicked, which was usually very hit and miss, the show was great. Usually a skit would start out hilariously and then just sputter out. Everyone remembers the hits like Wayne's World or Samuri______, but in between those gems there was a LOT of shit. Most of the anniversary show sucked balls. Even the musical guests were pretty "meh." Sorry, Sir Paul, you're getting old and your voice is getting shot. Same thing goes for Paul Simon. You came across as either drunk or stoned. Come to think of it, most people on the show came across as that as well. Oh well. I wasted 210 minutes of my life. Perhaps I'll watch some old episodes on Netflix.
