The weather finally turned spectacular yesterday, so I put on my grubbies after work and spent a few hours outside. I moved all of the houseplants out onto the patio and gave them all a good watering/feeding. I also gave some plant food to the new trees from last year. The herbs I had planted the day before (cilantro, marjoram, rosemary, catnip, basil, and lavender) all got a feeding as well. I finally found a little drip-system sprinkler so I can water 4 little basil plants with one drip head. I then tackled putting in the tomatoes. Kitty bought the 6-pack variety tray with a 4-pack of cherry tomatoes. I prepped the soil and got them all in. I just have to hook up more little drip sprinklers to get them all watered. Today is supposed to be just as nice, so I'll hopefully put in the several varieties of peppers I bought (green bell, yellow, jalapeno, ancho, Anaheim). All that will remain will be cucumbers which I'll put in after BLFC. Previous years have taught me that they really like warm soil, so getting them in early doesn't really help anything.
