Last December I was in a quandary as to what to get Kitty for Christmas. I wanted something memorable like a concert as opposed to stuff. I thought I had the perfect choice with Elton John, but if you remember that fiasco, it wasn't gonna happen. I was at a total loss when I just happened to see a commercial on tv. It was for Cirque du Solei "Ovo." It caught my eye because some of the costumes almost looked furry. Hmmmmm. This might work. I went online and bought tickets without too much of an ass raping. Tickemaster, however, made sure that there would be no lube. Anyway...fast forward to last night. We went to the show and had a really nice time. The costumes were pretty cool. The dancers/acrobats/gymnasts were supposed to be insects. Sometimes it was really clear and pretty awesome and some times it was very subtle. Either way they performed stunts and feats of balance and flexibility that were mind blowing. There was a trampoline act near the end where I was sure they were violating Newton's Law of Conservation of Energy. They would fall off of a 20' "cliff" and bounce back effortlessly to their starting position. I didn't remember if I had seen a Cirque performance before. In checking LJ I saw that we went to a show back in 2009. I can't remember it. We have seen several different performances over the year with various troupes of acrobats/performers.
