I was able to re-live some of my childhood over the weekend. While shopping at Costco I found a 3-dvd set of old "Speed Racer" cartoons. I bought them and took them home to watch. It was amazing! Shows I hadn't seen in 35 years came back to me as if I had watched them just the other day. Some of my earliest memories of watching t.v. as a child were of that show. I must have been around 4 when I finally realized that if you turn a program off, it just doesn't start back up when you turn on the t.v. I guess kids nowadays will never realize that in this age of Tivo and OnDemand. *grins* I'll slowly go through the series and rekindle fond remembrances of watching the black-and-white t.v. in my bedroom with my box full of Matchbox cars playing Speed vs. Racer X while the show was broadcast on WFLD, Channel 32, Chicago.
