Getting some tail

Last evening was great! I met Dabber Raccoon at a local Starbucks where he presented me with a raccoon tail I had commissioned from him the week before at my furmeet. Woot! My first tail! Just as he arrived, a drunk Indian stumbled over panhandling for money. He looks down at the 3' long tail and says, "What the hell is that?!?" Dabber replies, "It's a raccoon tail, and you should have seen the raccoon it came from!" The Indian just keeps staring at it and says, "What the hell is that!?" again. I get rid of him and Dabber and I spend an hour just engaged in furry chat. Of course I had to try it on. Ahhhhhh. What a great feeling! We were also approached by 2 college students doing some sort of photo project. They asked if they could take our picture with one of them. I asked if they wanted to get my tail in the shot. They hadn't seen it. Their eyes got wide. "Whoa! Dude! Excellent! Yeah! We gotta get that in the picture!" After they left, we continued to discuss all things furry like the prospects of putting on a Rocky Mountain Furmeet and the chances that Dabber would/could make it to Further Confusion. He decided to forego AC and instead will be heading to the Mephit Furmeet. I should mention that I bought one of the infamous $5 cups of coffee. I hadn't been to a Starbucks in years, and so I decided to go for it. I bought an extra large, double shot, iced mocha. I think it had the equivalent of 6 shots of espresso. Oh yeah! I was buzzin'! It was enough caffeine to make a 3-toed sloth run a marathon. I hope Dabber appreciated that fact as I talked a mile a minute. Music trivia: Name that tune: "I was good. I could talk a mile a minute. On this caffeine buzz, I was really hoppin."
On the way home I remembered I needed a light bulb for my front door light. So I stopped in at Home Depot. Of course I was still wearing my tail! What a fun time! Squicking the mundanes! Gotta love it! On my nightly dog walk, Anubis had a hard time keeping up with me. I decided to balance out the buzz with a couple of martinis. Ahhhhh. Got into the perfect mellow high for the rest of the evening. A perfect night to chat. I just wanna know why my brain waits for about 2 minutes before my alarm goes off to decide to begin a furry dream. Growl!

A big paw wave to yet another new friend! Welcome rabbitswift! One of my favorite furs from ALF. Always on-topic, thoughtful, and friendly. I'm sorry we didn't email each other more. *shrug* Glad to have you on LJ! *HUG*
