SMG! (snow my god!)
What do you get when you dump 4" of snow in the desert? CHAOS! It has been snowing here for about the past 12 hours. If you live in the Midwest or Northeast, this is just an average storm. If you live in the Southwest, this is something extraordinary.

Traffic was a frigging nightmare last night. It took 2 hours to get home. Yes, 2 hours to go 11 miles, a trip that usually takes me 25 minutes. I was a ball of stress when I got home. I calmed down once I took Anubis for his walkies and I was able to enjoy the beauty of the snow. Even my goofy cat enjoyed frolicking.

It's still snowing this morning. We're on a 2 hour delay for work. I'm tempted to say, "screw it." I am in no mood to fight that traffic nightmare again. I-40 is closed from ABQ to the TX border and I-25 is closed from ABQ to the Colorado border. The streets are snowpacked and icy. Meh. It's just not worth it to risk driving. Growing up in Chicago, I can handle this stuff. It's the other 500,000 people I don't trust worth a darn. I think I'll make a pot of coffee.
