Monument Valley Fursuiting

Everyone knows I'm all about the guerrilla fursuiting. It's my goal to get pics taken of myself in fursuit at the nation's great monuments. I want to get my pic taken at every national park and monument possible. Why? Because it's something fun and I hope to inspire other fursuiters to get out there and perform for the general public in truly awesome locations. I have been inspired by a few suiters out there who have gotten pics of themselves at great landmarks and I want to keep the tradition going.

This weekend I fursuited Monument Valley which has been the backdrop for dozens of westerns as well as flicks like "Back to the Future" and "Forrest Gump." The land is owned by the Navajo Nation so it's not a national park, but it certainly is one of this nation's truly great natural landmarks. I must also say that scruff_e_coyote and I are not the first suiters to have performed here. I know I saw pics of another suiter who had been here. Was it chairoraccoon? I know he posted some wonderful pics of himself in suit in the wilds of Arizona. I would post a link to his LJ, but it's a friends locked post.

So since a pic is worth 1000 words, I think I'll just post several pics. I'll just say that conditions were ideal and that we had a complete and total blast. We were well received by the Navajo people especially Scruff E. I might post a more detailed travelogue tomorrow. But for now.... PICS!

A place called "John Ford Point" after the great western director who filmed classics like "My Darling Clementine" and "The Searchers" in the region.
