On the Way Back Home

Kitty and I left the Westin early this morning. We hate long lingering goodbyes anyway. They tend to add to PCD. The shitty weather was a concern to me since the news made it sound like drive times would be bad. It took about an hour to get Kitty to the airport. I was then left all alone for my trek back across the country. The weather fortunately cleared up quickly, and I was driving in nice sunny conditions with 50 degree temps by St Louis.

The drive was largely uneventful. I had thought about stopping for the night in Joplin, MO, but after re-fueling with Steak-n-Shake, I was good to press on to Tulsa. I did get pulled over by the po-po as I was getting close to the motel. I explained that I was exhausted and checking my GPS for the location instead of looking at my speed (40 in a 30). He gave me directions and sent me on my way. *phew*

As I was waiting behind an old guy to check into the motel, he lets out this huge fart. I just applauded and said, "Nice one!" I hope it embarrassed the shit out of him (literally!)

Tomorrow I will press on to ABQ. I have a nice con report floating around in my noggin. 20 hours alone in a car will do that to you.
