Natural History Post

The wildflowers are slowly emerging up on the mesa. I was going to post this a couple of weeks ago, but I just forgot. It's kinda strange to be seeing flowers since it has been such a dry Fall and Winter. I think we had only one or 2 rain events in the past 4 months. Judinging from the amount of green shoots coming up, it might be a descent Spring. So far the scorpionweed has been flowering the most. Just the other day I noticed small patches of phlox have also started to flower. I'll have to be more and more observant over the coming weeks as more and more (hopefully) plants start to flower. There hasn't been much else to report. I imagine the bunnies will be getting more and more yiffy as well. That's good news for Mesa who will have more opportunities for a good chase.
