I had my 1st day of training today. It IS the reason why I'm up here, after all! It was a nice easy day since we covered a lot of stuff that I already knew. The weather still sucks, but it's getting better. Hopefully I'll be able to a little fursuiting on Friday night. Right now the temp has already fallen back to 0. I should be wanting to head out to have a nice dinner out somewhere, but I am just emotionally spent. I had a huge burrito for lunch and I don't want to be a piggy.
While I hate this weather, I am very happy that the snowpack has been given a huge shot in the arm. Here are some examples:
Wolf Creek Pass (the upper part of the Rio Grande in southern CO)
12/05 22" of snow 12/9 61" of snow
Cumbres Pass (the upper part of the Chama basin, just above our major reservoirs)
12/05 22" of snow 12/9 66" of snow
