Avenue Q

In 2004 I visited quentincoyote in New York. I took a pic of him in front of a huge billboard advertising the musical "Avenue Q." I had no idea what the musical was about but thought it was a great pic since people frequently call Quentin just "Q."

Over the next few years I heard songs from the show like "The Internet is for Porn," "Everyone is a Little Bit Racist," and "If You Were Gay." I knew I must see this musical! This weekend it finally came to ABQ! A group of us went to see the matinee on Sunday. I must say that I was not disappointed! The songs were great! The plot was great! The set was great! It was a new generation of Broadway theater that really hit the mark. I was not sure how I would react to a puppet being controlled on stage while the puppeteer did all of the dialogue and singing standing right there. It so totally worked! Also, I have not seen such hot puppet sex since "Team America*." *lol* So if you ever get a chance to see this show on stage. DO IT!

*yes. I know that they were marionettes and not puppets in "Team America."
