Bear Fair '10

Another year, another Bear Fair at Wildlife West. Of course that meant suiting up as Sabot and Quewe. I must say that I was not looking forward to this event. The event was not the issue. The issue was the weather forecast. The highs were forecast to be in the 90's. Bleh! It has been just awful here as of late with temps flirting with the 100 degree mark. We SHOULD be getting monsoonal rains this time of year which cool things off in the evenings, but the flow from Mexico has just not materialized. Last night we actually DID get a nice little storm roll through which cooled things down. But I digress.

I suited up in Quewe first and walked around the venue. I only lasted about 15-20 minutes before the heat became too oppressive. I headed back to the changing area and de-suited. After cooling off I put on Sabot and once again walked around the area. You know that Quewe is a HOT suit when I can put on Sabot and wander around for an hour and actually feel refreshed. *lol* I paid a visit to Koshari the REAL bear. I'm not sure if he was interested in me or the guide with peanut butter and dog biscuits. Who WAS interested in me was a little pronghorn who came up to the fence to check me out. We nosed each other and I gave him a quick pet. Yes, Kitty got cute pics which I will post tomorrow.
