Drive

Enid

Here I am in Enid, OK. I got a little late start but it was ok. Truck traffic on I-40 was insane. I was happy to get off on some regular US Highways when I hit OK. I had lunch with my sis and bro-in-law in Amarillo. Mmmmmm. BBQ.

Mesa was with me this time. He's such a good pup. We went for a little walkie down a farm road. He was very happy about that. In terms of trainspotting, it was a bad day until I got to Clinton, OK. All of the times I just blew past the town on I-40 I never realized it was the base town for FarmRail, a small regional line. I got some pics of their motive power even though the Sun was in a terrible position. Such is life at this time of the year.

So now I'm in my motel room enjoying a bit of whiskey. I had wanted beer, but I was told that unless you wanted 3.2 beer, stronger beer could only be sold warm. *facepaws* I successfully smuggled Mesa into the room. He was so grateful to be out of the vehicle that he just hopped up on the bed with me and passed out plastered against me.
