Winter Wonderland

For the past few weeks I have been watching the news of major snowfall in the East and almost felt bad that our weather had been in the 50's and 60's with lots of sun. On the other paw I have been biting my claws because our snowpack has been tracking below the levels of 2001-02 which was one of the worst drought years on record. Hopefully things turned around a bit because we just got hit with a nice snow storm. It rained pretty much the whole day yesterday which is almost unheard of in these parts. The rain later changed to snow and we picked up about 4" at Fur Central. I woke up this morning to find out that we were on a 2-hour delay at work. I decided to head into the office at the usual time, however, because I would rather deal with just snow instead of lots of idiots driving in snow. The commute in was a breeze. It was very odd to have most of the snow just disappear as I crossed under I-40. There was very little snow at the office. So now I'm just chilling in a near-empty office listening to Xmas tunes.
