A year ago we hosted a St Patty's Day party as an afterthought. We were going to hang out and have a few drinks with a few friends. We opened the invitation up to everyone at the last minute and a bunch of people showed up for an awesome time. This year we decided to make it a little more official. The end result, however, was pretty much the same. It was an epic party! The total number of attendees was probably around 40. Much beer was consumed and several Irish car bombs were set off. Pitchers of fuzzy navels were made which quickly disappeared. There was even a box of liqueur-filled chocolates. People must have been pretty desperate for a party! It was truly a memorable night at least until the memories got hazy. There was much happiness and joy. A few new furs showed up and their shyness and/or uncertainty quickly evaporated as they joined the festivities. I certainly enjoy being the social director for events like this. It's a lot of work, but the rewards outweigh the trouble.
