Killing My Sister

I wanted to kill my sister yesterday. Well, maybe not kill. How about a nice betchslap. *lol* Fortunately in talking with my mom on Sunday I found out a piece of information that could have destroyed all of the Alaska cruise plans for August. She let me know that my sis asked her for some information that she needed for her passport application. Bwah?!? She still hadn't sent in for her passport?!? Jesus H Christ! She had known about the cruise for well over a month now, and she STILL hadn't sent off for her passport?!? I quickly checked the gov't website to see how long the process could take. The answer was 10 weeks especially during the busy Summer travel season. Great! The cruise is in 7 weeks! I called my sis and calmly bitched her out. I told her she would have to spend the extra $$$ to get expedited service. She didn't seem too concerned.

I realized just how big of a disaster this could have been especially since plans for my mom are directly affected by the plans of my sister. When we get to Anchorage, Kitty and I are staying in AK for another week. My mom was going to return to ABQ with my sis and bro-in-law. Once back in ABQ they were going to drive to Amarillo where my mom would fly out the next day. With no sis, those plans would sort of be out the window. I would have to book new flights from AK which would cost more $$$. *shrugs* It could be done. It would just be a major pain in the rear.

The good thing about the whole trip is that I think it's doing wonders for my mom's mental health. She doesn't come right out and say it, but I can tell she's getting very excited about the trip. Her passport arrived in the mail a week ago and she told me she let out a "Hooray!" when she opened the envelope. *lol*
