Attention! Attention!

I think I figured out where the guy who made the camp announcements from the movie "M*A*S*H" has been hiding out for the past 40 years. The Emergency Alert System kicked in yesterday to issue a flash flood warning near Los Alamos since a thunderstorm was dumping a lot of rain over an area that had a significant forest fire a couple of years ago. It was one of the most painful things I have ever heard in my life. The guy doing the announcement sounded completely nervous. He butchered place names (easy to do in NM) and ended up being a stuttering fool. The urgency of the message was lost because you were too focused on what was TRYING to be said instead of what was actually being said. This is not the person you want to convey urgent information during a time of crisis. I wish I could find a copy of the message because it was truly horrible. All I could find was the text that was read.
