White Anglo-Saxon Protestants

I decided to mow the grass yesterday. With all of the rain we have been getting it had been growing very quickly. I didn't want to wait like last time when it got so high I could barely get the mower through it. On the other paw I had to wait because the grass was really wet from the rains. Oh well. Let's just do it.

I was getting the mower out from the shed when I banged my head on the bird feeder which was hanging down from a tree right by the door. Things then happened very quickly. I felt a sharp pain to the side of my head. There were things buzzing in front of my face. Fight-or-flight kicked in very quickly and I ran across the yard. It seems that a group of wasps had set up housekeeping inside of the bird feeder. Fortunately there are only a few of them, but I found out very quickly that they come out with stingers blazing at the slightest provocation to their nest. I discovered this by poking the feeder with a broom handle. They come out all pissed. Fly around a little bit, and quickly retreat back inside. I shall use this to my advantage today when they emerge looking for a fight and are met with a chemical attack that will make Basar al-Assad proud.
