It has pretty much been a shithouse Christmas. Things started off well with fursuiting on the Plaza on Christmas Eve. Even that almost turned into a clusterfuck when we got there a little late (5:30) and there was almost no parking to be found. We ended up walking several blocks to get to the festivities. But once there it was non-stop picture taking for over an hour. I love fursuiting Xmas Eve because everyone is in a good mood and adults act like children around a fursuiter (must be all of that holiday cheer they have been imbibing). We got back to Furcentral and enjoyed an Asian-themed dinner of sushi, miso soup, and won tons, all prepared the day before by Kitty. I also upheld the tradition of watching "It's a Wonderful Life" and Kitty upheld her tradition of falling asleep before it was over.
Things turned south on Xmas Day. Kitty came down with something and was pretty much out of it for the whole day. I watched "A Christmas Story" in my pink bunny sleeper but that was about as festive as things got. I simply did chores around the house while Kitty moped around. The nicest part of the day was sitting on the upper patio in the sun with a glass of wine in my paw. If this is global warming...moar plz! I had planned on cooking up a roast, but with Kitty not eating, I was going to just pass. She felt good enough to want a little, so I went ahead and cooked it. It wasn't the "prime" cut that I had bought for previous Xmas' but the "choice" cut was just as good. And that was it. I went back to work the next day as if the holiday hadn't even happened. So this year's sentiment can be summed up as "Meh-ry Christmas."
