Another Tree Entry

Temps finally hit 80 this weekend and the trees responded. The apple trees finally bloomed on Saturday. I suspected the Honeycrsip would produce fruit since there were a couple of small apples on it when I bought it last year. They did not survive the transplant. The fig tree also sprang to life and now has a couple of leaves. I am keeping an eye on the apricot. There are about a half dozen marble-sized green fuzzy balls that I hope will mature into fruit. All of the other trees and shrubs that I planted last year are showing signs of life. We bought some seeds this weekend and I hope to plant some cold-weather veggies next weekend in my new garden plot. I had wanted to do it yesterday, but the weather was absolute shite with high winds all day. Ah, Spring in NM!
