Tree Condom

I stopped off at Lowes yesterday to pick up some bird netting to put over my fruit trees. So far the birds have claimed 4 of my apricots (about 20% of this year's crop). I had no idea how they were attacking the tree until this morning. I was a little late going to work so I was just chilling watching TV with the front door open. Suddenly about a dozen birds swooped in and tried to land on the tree. They were extremely puzzled by this new barrier to their breakfast. I had no idea there were so many little bastards involved! I had thought perhaps 1 or 2 hungry birds, but not a dozen all at once! I also released Yoink who quickly dissipated the flock. So hopefully the net will work for another week. The fruit is just about ready to pick!
