Trumpmonk

Faux Noise

On Wednesday I turned on NBC to get the latest election update. It was becoming clear that the path to victory was a lot easier for Biden than for Trump. The reporters were fairly upbeat and they calmly explained that even in states where Biden was behind, most of the mail-in ballots were probably from Democrats since they tended to vote early. This was known from the beginning. Everyone was expecting that there would be a surge of Republican votes on Tuesday since they preferred to vote in-person. Then there would be a "blue wave" as all of the absentee votes were processed. I wondered what they were thinking over at Fox News. I rarely venture over there except when I'm looking for some lulz. A warning. If you venture over to Fox you will have a sudden death of brain cells followed by extreme jaw pain from it frequently dropping quickly and suddenly. I could only stomach a few minutes of Carlson and Hannity before the twitching in my eyes made it impossible to watch. They were pitching a fit that it was taking so long to declare a winner and that there was rampant fraud. Of course they touted the little old lady who said she never received her ballot and that somebody must have stolen it. Never mind that the story had been debunked earlier and that her ballot had been processed with her signature on it.

Yesterday the tone on Fox was much more sinister. They are putting in the minds of their drooling drones that there is another way to game the system; the 23rd Amendment. Here's what it states:

"A number of electors of President and Vice President equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives in Congress to which the District would be entitled if it were a State, but in no event more than the least populous State; they shall be in addition to those appointed by the States, but they shall be considered, for the purposes of the election of President and Vice President, to be electors appointed by a State; and they shall meet in the District and perform such duties as provided by the twelfth article of amendment."

What they are saying is that if a state that went for Biden has a Republican-held legislature, that state could appoint its own members to the Electoral College and vote how it wishes. Of course this is all speculative, but the lengths they are going to to keep the Dotard-in-Chief in office is staggering! They truly are wanting a dictator! Let's see how this plays out. We could be entering very dark times.
