Taking the Plunge

In 1992 I was driving through the hop fields near Yakima Washington while working for the Yakima Indian Nation. There was a story on the radio on how it was 90 degrees in Yuma Arizona at 9 in the morning. I made the comment, "Boy! I sure wouldn't want to live there!" A year later I was accepting a job in Yuma.

I have also made comments like;
When I saw my first commercial for "Star Wars" I thought, "What a stupid looking sci-fi movie! It will probably suck!"
or when I first saw a Cabbage Patch Doll, "What a stupid toy! It will never sell!"

I have been adamant that I would never apply for a job east of the Rockies. I love the open space of the West and could never see myself back east or in the Midwest ever again.

And so what have I been doing most of my afternoon? Filling out a job application for a job in Minnesota. *facepaws* It's for a completely different gov't agency so my confidence isn't too high although I nail many of the qualifications. *shrugs* We'll see. I talked to Kitty about it at lunch today and she is on-board with the idea if I get the job. I haven't applied for a job in over a year. Everything is electronic nowadays. Let's see if I can get the hang of this.
