Kitty and I spent the Easter weekend with my sister and bro-in-law in Amarillo, TX. This was the first time we had seen each other since she tied that knot last year. It was good to see her again. She seems to be happy in the marriage, and that's what counts. The only bad part of the weekend was that they both smoke and so everything we had reeked of smoke. It took hours to purge my nose of the smell. Anubis went along with us and he had fun tormenting her cats. It was also fun to watch my brother-in-law, a good-ol-boy Texan try to wrap his brain the concept of Kitty and I having a somewhat open relationship and that I like to have sex with guys. We had a good discussion about a lot of stuff over a case of beer and a bottle of spiced rum.
On Saturday we went to Palo Duro Canyon and took a nice 7-mile hike. The sun and wind were brutal but the scenery was pretty. Stupid me forgot the camera at home.
All around Amarillo people have been putting up large signs in their front yards with various sayings and pictures. They are supposed to look like highway warning signs. One sign at a house a few blocks from my sister's had a bunny on it with the word "Furry" below it. We were intrigued.
