Kitty and I went to our first New Mexico Scorpions game of the season. It was the first time I had seen a game at the new Santa Ana Arena. I must say that I like the venue much better than Tingley Coliseum. My only complaint is that the new venue is very fursuit/mascot unfriendly in that there is no center aisle. I was thinking about asking management if they could use another mascot besides Stanley Scorpion, but I don't think I'll bother. It looks like the Scorpion suit has been redesigned. It seems much smaller than the original. The performer gets a big thumbs up from me. He was very animated and performed very well.
We had great seats courtesy of a friend of Kitty who has season tickets. We were just about center ice about 12 rows up. The Scorps played a good game and won 5-3. I gave Stanley a high five as we were leaving the arena.
Oh, Kitty and I got on the big-screen t.v. before the game started and I snagged a free t-shirt during the break between the 1st and 2nd periods. They fired a shirt into the stands and Kitty and the woman to the other side of me missed. I just sat there and it landed in my lap. *lol*
