Kitty and I spent the Easter weekend visiting my sister in Amarillo. The weather was absolutely shitty for most of the time. We left ABQ on Friday afternoon with the temperature at 69 degrees. I watched in amazement as the thermometer dropped 1 degree every 2 miles for 60 miles as we headed east. There was fog. There was freezing drizzle. There were snow flurries. Luckily it was only a 4 hour drive and the roads were pretty good. We had a nice dinner at a local steakhouse and then just kicked back drinking beer and watching "Jackass" on MTV. On Saturday we headed out to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch where my sister works. It's basically a Christian boarding school for kids in trouble or from troubled families. My sister thought it would be great to get a picture of me in fursuit next to the statue based on a pic of Cal and a boy who he is supposed to be helping. The truth is the pic is of Cal bringing a boy back from a whoopin' in back of the barn. Spare the rod and spoil the child! *lol* I had also wanted to get a fursuit pic of another great Route 66 landmark, The Cadillac Ranch. That's the "sculpture" of a series of old Cadillacs buried hood first into the ground. Unfortunately the weather was still crappy and the ground very muddy. Next time! We then headed back to my sis's for an early Easter dinner of ham and the fixins. Kitty and I hit the road back to ABQ early on Sunday morning to beat the crowds.
