Hall plays Nixon in the days after his resignation. He rants drunkenly into a tape recorder on why he did what he did and all of the politics behind the scenes. I wondered if Oliver Stone was a fan of this movie because a lot of points that were brought up in this movie were also brought up in his own story of Nixon (starring Anthony Hopkins as Nixon). One thing that was brought up in both movies was that Nixon thought of himself as a dog to his mother. Was Nixon a furry? *lol* I wonder where both directors got that from. Was it in a biography somewhere?
Anyway, this further increases my love for Netflix. I don't think I would have ever seen this movie had it not been for Netflix. I love obscure cinema, especially when it has great acting in it.
