So far the con has been very hard to characterize. I'm having a great time and a crappy time at the same time. I feel that disconnection like I felt at MFM. It could be because I have no stand-by posse. I'm always having to hunt for people to go do stuff instead of just having tried and true friends ready to go do something. Don't get me wrong, I have many friends here and we have been doing lots of fun stuff, but something is missing. The vibe of the con is ok, but not at the excitement level of, say, FC. Usually when I feel a funk coming on, I just get into fursuit and wander around for a bit. I'll probably be doing that this afternoon.
I'll also admit that I screwed up in scheduling so much time for this con. As was pointed out to me in comments to my previous post, It's best to just arrive and depart during the immediate time period of the con. Unlike FC where you could tour the San Francisco or AC where you could take in some museums and such, I really have no desire to sightsee around Atlanta. As I said in the previous post, I toured around downtown several years ago and was not all that impressed. So we shall see what tomorrow shall bring. If nothing else I'll get late check-out and just chill in the room watching movies or something.
