Easter post

So much for the Easter weekend. Sis and bro-in-law arrived on Saturday afternoon. Had a nice dinner at Gardunos and then sis and mom went to church. I guess she still has a kernel of Catholicism still in her or she was just being nice to mom who REALLY wanted to go to church on Holy Saturday. Kitty, bro, and I just chilled at home drinking. The service was almost 2 hours long, and my sis came back home with crossed eyes. She pounded down the rum after that! *lol*

On Sunday I had my only fursuit gig. I dressed up as Honey Bunny and delivered a couple of baskets to the neighbor kids. The 5 year old was absolutely thrilled. Her 2-year-old sister not so much, although I could tell she really LOVED it that the Easter Bunny was actually in her house! They even sang a nice little song about the Easter Bunny to me. It was so cute! I came back home, desuited, and cooked up a nice champaign brunch. The afternoon was spent chilling out while part of dinner cooked. I whipped up a batch of homemade scalloped potatoes in the crock pot. Kitty made green bean casserole, and I baked a loaf of bread in the machine. The main course was a honey baked ham and roasted turkey breast. It was a nice little feast. By 9 we were all ready to just crash. I stayed up to watch a bit of "The Last Temptation of Christ" which is really a remarkable movie. Watch it and see how it supposedly insults Jesus by making him human. Fundamentalist idiots! Oh! The uproar it caused in Carbondale when it was released back in '88!

So now sis is on her way back home, and mom will be heading home on Wed. Then it will be back to normal for a little while. I can't wait to be able to run around the house nekkid again. ;oP
