Greetings from Ogallala, NE. Today I put 615 miles between me and ABQ on my quest for Chicago and MFF. It was an uneventful 11 hour drive. The roads were nice and clear with very little traffic. I was able to just relax and enjoy the scenery. I did a little trainspotting along the way as I had hoped. The BNSF line near Sterling, CO had lots of coal trains stacked up. I managed to snag a few pics before I lost daylight. Man! I know Winter is coming, but it certainly is getting dark early! The Sun was down by 5 and it was pitch black by 5:30. I decided to call it quits around 6 as to not burn myself out. It was certainly the right move. I am now relaxing with a couple of 40's and a Subway sandwich. Tomorrow I will get LOTS of trainspotting in as I follow UP's Overland Route across NE.
