The Furry Network

OK. This is how it's supposed to work. FurCentral prides itself on welcoming fellow furs. We're at a very strategic location in terms of being in the middle of the vast wasteland between CA and points east. Many times we have provided crash space for friends making the trek across I-40. Occasionally we'll do the whole friends-of-friends deal if the person can be vouched for. That has worked so far and it certainly worked yesterday. anjel_kitty informed us that a friend and fellow artist Catwarrior was traveling from his home in MS to start a new life in SoCal. Could he have some crash space at Fur Central for the night before heading off to hang out with her in AZ? Sure! Why not?

He arrived around dinnertime with the blank stare of white line fever. He was a bit dazed and confused from his long drive through TX, but after a plate full of New Mexican food and a few beers at our favorite local restaurant, he was feeling much more relaxed. scritchwuff and ari_foxy caught wind that a new fur was in town and joined us. He was thrilled to hear that Ari was also in graphic design, and the 2 talked shop for a long time while comparing portfolios. More beers were consumed back at FurCentral, and it turned out to be a nice evening. Everything worked out great. We helped a fellow fur save money that would have been spent at a motel. We ended up with some dandy art in our sketchbook. Most importantly some friendships were made. We're looking forward to seeing him again in a few weeks at Califur. This is the type of "furry love" I can dig.
