Hissy Pissy Bitchy Kitty

Our plans to foster silveronewunny's cat fell through over the weekend. As soon as Silverone left last weekend the kitty has been a hissing, biting terror. The whole plan was to allow us to have a nice kitty around the house to fill the void that Skookum had left. We would also be helping out a friend who needed to get the cat out of her house for a few months. Things just didn't work out. Biting was a major issue. When Skooks got upset or when we played rough, she would bite but in a very gentle and controlled manner. If we were playing she would usually quickly follow with a lick. This kitty, however, always drew blood. You never knew her disposition unless she was growling and hissing which was most of the time. The final straw came when chaysefox, who arrived on Friday and will be living with us for a few months as he attends training, woke up in the middle of the night to find a demon cat on the bed in his face growling and being generally pissy. He went to sleep on the sofa.

I told Kitty that we will have a cat/cats again in the near future. There's no need in rushing things. Someone's cat is bound to have kittens or some other opportunity will drop into our laps. I personally don't want to do anything until we get back from Alaska or even until after FurFright.
