I already posted the pics in the previous post from Saturday's little outing. Yes, the focal point of the trip was to visit the Project Gasbuggy site, but it was all part of a bigger objective to just get out and enjoy the state. I had been close to the site in the past, but had never explored Highway 64 west of there. I saw that Navajo Reservoir was just down the road, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to visit there as well. Heck! It's one of our reservoirs (administered from a different office) and yet I had never been there! Time to change that! So after Gasbuggy we proceeded to the reservoir where we enjoyed a picnic lunch of sandwiches. It was an absolutely beautiful day! After lunch it was time to head on back to ABQ. We got back around dinner time, so we stopped at a local Thai restaurant for some really yummy food. It was a perfect end to a perfect day.
