I also took advantage of the State's tax-free weekend and bought a new desktop. It had been almost 4 years to the day since I bought my last system (also purchased during the tax-free weekend). I can't wait to try it out. They really treated us right in that I kept adding upgrades and they kept the price under $1K to fully qualify for the tax-free savings.
Later that evening there was a furmeet at scritchwuff's place. It was nice to actually go to a furmeet and not have to play host! Much Pabst was consumed! He had about 30+ people show up. It seems like every time there is a furmeet, more and more young furs keep coming out of the woodwork!
Sunday was more of a chill day. We had breakfast at Village Inn and then hit up Wallyworld for a whole bunch of random stuff (canning jars, a watch band, roast beef, and toilet cleaner).
It was also another pickle day. I am now up to 3.5 gallons of dills. It's time to start making some bread-n-butter sweets next.
The garden produced some nice zucchini and eggplant as well as some tomatoes, so I whipped up a tasty ratatouille for dinner. I didn't fantasize about being a giant rat like I did a couple of years ago *lol* (I read an old LJ post where I had written that. Such a furfag!)
We watched "Gnomeo and Juliet" after dinner and I must say that I absolutely loved it. When I first read about the plot /premise when it first came out, my thought was, "You have got to be kidding!" Then I read that the cast included Ozzy, Dolly Parton, Hulk Hogan, and Patrick Stewart with music by Elton John. *lolwut?!?* It so totally works! Talk about a fresh approach to an old story!
Less than 2 weeks until the cruise! *dances excitedly*
