The New Year's Wrap Up

On New Year's Eve I was busily trying to clean up the water books to make sure everything balanced out. I was not anticipating any time off since it was already 2p which meant that it was 4p in D.C. and there was no early release email. To my surprise the boss came in and said I could go home. Whoot! I had been chatting with furrysparkles so we quickly arranged a meet. We went over to my den to watch "Donny Darko." I'm amazed that no one has made a Frank suit for one of the cons. It wasn't a bad flick. Sparki left for a party, but not too much later furitz showed up.

We went out for dinner at a local Thai resataurant. Good stuff. We returned to the den and watched "Balto." This was followed by "Army of Darkness" the director's cut. I have to agree with tenax, the ending "sucks ass." There are much better one liners in the theatrical release. Midnight came and for the 1st time in my life I was able to get/give a kiss from/to somebody who wasn't a family member. Right after that I got the 1st phone call of the year from albear who was at a New Year's party in So. Cal. I ended up yerfing with Scruff E. Coyote for almost an hour. I can't wait to suit with him at FC.

We finally got to bed around 2a. The next morning I made us a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs and hash browns. See, I make a nice breakfast the morning after *giggles*. We watched "Princess Mononoke" and then Fritz took off. I spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on old newspapers and cleaning up stuff that had been neglected over the previous days. The rest of the day was spent chatting online.

And now I sit in my office reading LJ and listening to a few cd's. I'm the only one in the division who showed up today. I'll probably open up my chat clients and yerf for a bit. I also have to make sure everything DID balance out on the last day of the year. If not I'll have to do some of my famous Enron-type accounting.
