Our Oscar quest continued last night with this offering from Director George Clooney. The film is up for Best Adapted Screenplay. While "Margin Call" was a solid hit IMO, this was more of a foul tip. Once again it had great actors; George Clooney, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamati, who all gave wonderful performances. There just seemed to be a little something lacking in the plot. It's all about the cut-throat world of presidential politics which seems very appropriate considering current events. I have to agree with the Netflix reviews that where "Margin Call" was a 4, "Ides" was a solid 3. I'm just having a great time watching these movies that largely got overlooked but are certainly worthwhile.
