Sunday was Easter which meant it was time once again for lamb cake! A cake made of lamb?!? No. A pound cake in the shape of a lamb. It has been a family tradition for years (if not decades.) I made one and blogged about it 2 years ago and once again last year. This year was another near disaster. I can't believe I made the same damn mistake this year as last! I ended up using twice as much butter as I was supposed to, so I ended up doubling the recipe and making an additional pound cake. I almost screwed up with the frosting as well, but fortunately I got the mixture cool enough before beating it. Overall it turned out pretty good. I'll try again next year and keep the tradition going including the new tradition of blogging about it!
