I'm not sure how this flick ended up in our Netflix queue, but it was probably due to the furry factor. Hey! It's got talking animals! We watched it last night with almost zero expectations. When the film started I already started formulating an LJ post mostly along the vein of "Why oh why?" Surprisingly, it didn't suck that badly. Oh sure. The plot was as old and well-worn as anything from Hollywood; new awkward "kid" tries to fit in with the cool kids but ends up with the geeks. He longs for the popular girl while the geeky girl has a crush on him but is ignored. Yadda yadda yadda. By the end, however, we found ourselves actually enjoying it. I'm sure it was largely due to the furry factor or perhaps we just needed a good bubblegum movie to make us smile.
