The annular eclipse passed right over ABQ tonight. We had a small furmeet to celebrate the event. The Sun had fallen below the mesa before "totality" so we all hiked up to the top to watch the event unfold. It may not have been 100% kosher, but we simply used strips of 35mm film to protect our eyes. I placed a strip in front of my camera lens and set the speed for 1/4000 sec. This was the result:

I was amazed at how bright the Sun looked even with the Moon covering almost all of its face. It truly was a sight to remember!
