Lights! Camera! Water!

One of the things I love about my job is that there are constantly new and changing things that keep things interesting. Several years ago we were asked to change our dam release schedule due to the filming of one of the episodes of "Lonesome Dove." Most of the pressure is put on the Corps of the Engineers since most filming occurs below their dam, but operations on the river as a whole are effected by the decisions made because of the filming.

Just recently I learned that flows would have to be cut for a few hours so that a few scenes could be filmed for the move "Sweetwater" starring "Mad Men" star January Jones. It seems that she is a rather small actress and high flows might sweep her delicate bodyform downstream.

Then a few days later I was asked if I knew of anywhere on our trans-basin water delivery system (aka a large tunnel) where a scene for a movie starring Cameron Diaz could be filmed. A quick check of IMDB showed that the movie is "Agent: Century 21." Maybe I should ask if the movie could use a fursuiter! *LOL*
