Casual Furryness

It seems like I have slipped into a mode where life is a little bit more furry. We had our annual Halloween furmeet on Saturday which was attended by about 50 fellow fuzzies. Hopefully everyone had a great time! On Monday and Tuesday I got to play Otto Otter for a children's water festival in neighboring Rio Rancho. Unlike in previous years where only half the the schools receive invites for an all-day educational experience, this year all of the schools were invited for a half-day session. This meant that I got to high-four and hug every 4th grader in the city. It goes without saying that I was pretty exhausted after both days.

Of course today is Halloween (when a furry can be a furry!) and I brought my raccoon "partial" with me. I have been wearing my ears all morning which has gotten an interesting response from my co-workers. They walk by my office and quickly do a doubletake. I'll add my handpaws and tail for a little parade they have planned for children of employees. It's been hard keeping my paws out of the candy bowl I have sitting on my desk awaiting the arrival of the little rugrats.

Tonight I'll be passing out candy as usual. I just have to decide what I want to wear.

Sunday is the Doggy Dash and Dawdle. I have not missed this event in 10 years. I usually get a call a few weeks before the event to be their mascot, but the event coordinator has changed. I might just show up and suit for an hour or so. *shrugs* We'll see.
