This was a wonderful TG week for me. It began on Wed when Al and Dex drove in from L.A. We all then quickly headed off to our local Brazilian restaurant a.k.a. "The Meat Faucet" to celebrate Kitty's birthday.
On Thursday I had to wake up bright and early to get the turkey started. We had bought a humongous 23lb bird which would require almost 7 hours of cooking. There were a total of 7 of us for dinner and a good time was had by all.
Friday was a day of relaxing after breakfast at one of our local favorites. Some more friends came over for dinner where we served up a whole bunch of leftovers. Much tequila was consumed as we had a rousing game of "Apples to Apples."
We decided to see a showing of "Lincoln" on Saturday. It was a very good movie. After that we headed over to our local AAA travel agent to get the ball moving on our Christmas 2013 cruise through the Panama Canal. Anyone want to join us? We're always looking for adventurous souls to hit the high seas with us!
This morning we said goodbye to Al and Dex who are now safely back at The Domain in L.A. For Kitty and me it was a day to spend getting caught up on shows which we had recorded. Tomorrow we're back to the drudgery of day-to-day life as we return to our routine. I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday with friends and family!
