Mesa Update

Work up on the mesa has been pretty fast and furious since the beginning of the year. Work stopped for over a week between the holidays, but then things got serious. They have blasted out quite a few areas to install utilities. The most intense work area is at the far western end of the development where they have been installing storm sewers. The trencher has continued its run in fits and starts, but a water line has been installed over a small area.

I decided to track the work progress using a map I yoinked from Google. The areas in red are ones which have been blasted. The blue lines represent already existing roads/streets. The green areas are the national monument with the mesa scarp running along the southern end.

Here's a pic of the rockpile. It's grown considerably over the past month.

And here's the intersection of Compass and Petirrojo looking north. This is where most of the work has been occurring.
