I saw something pretty cool on walkies yesterday. The workers must have put in their 40 hours for the week because there was no heavy machinery driving around. I was finally able to walk down a road that they had been using as a haul route. I could see a couple of pick-ups off in the distance but thought they were just surveying or doing some other minor job. All of a sudden there was a large fountain of dust followed by a dull *thud*. They had just set off a charge along one of the proposed roads. The conditions were pretty breezy so the dust headed down the mesa in a big brown cloud. I had been hoping to see an explosion up there one of these days and it looks like I got my wish. I was amazed that there was no big shock wave or even significant ground vibration. I was concerned about that for when then proceed a little bit more eastward and are right above the house. It looks like dust will be my major concern.
