A brief explanation

So, what brought on yesterday's angsty post? It wasn't a single event. It was more like "death by 1,000 cuts." I read about friends' loved ones dying, friends' pets dying, and sick friends. I started feeling isolated again in this remote state, despite visits from furrysparkles and jeil_kitty. There is confusion about relationships. There was a mis-reading of a friend's emotions. Yadda yadda yadda. It all added up. Once again, kind words helped push me out of the hole. It also forced me to have meaningful conversations with the friends I was worried about.

I thought yesterday was going to suck because I had to attend an irrigation district board meeting. That meant staying in the office until 6 and then attending the meeting until around 7, i.e. a 12 hour day. Fortunately, I was contacted by tenax who had an emergency meeting in town. So instead of me sitting in the office for two hours, we headed over to Fuddruckers for dinner. I ate a burger while he enjoyed a shake. We said our goodbyes and I proceeded to the meeting.

When I got home it was dark, so I thought I would take the opportunity to do a little maintenance on the tank trap. I was surprised to see a vehicle parked up on the mesa. It was obviously a couple doing the "nasty." So while they were having fun, I was furiously digging a nice deep pit which they would have to negotiate when they were done. *LOL* I wanted to stay there and watch the reaction. It was oh-so-easy for you to drive around the pit when it was full of sand. But now....! Bwaa haa haa! People are pretty pathetic. It was 40 degrees and here they were in the back of an SUV with the motor running FOR OVER AN HOUR! Geez! Get a room!
