Another Day, Another Towhee

I think I have posted enough in the past to be it made known that I like backyard birdwatching (EXCEPT PIGEONS!). A few days ago I noticed a new bird hanging around. He flitted around too quickly to get a good identification, but he seemed to have nice distinguishing features such as a jet-black head, red-brown sides, and speckled back. He was back this morning, and I was able to get the binos on him. Identification was then a breeze. He is a spotted towhee. That makes the 3rd species of towhee to pay visits to the yard. The others are the canyon towhee who is a regular visitor and the green-tailed towhee who only makes an occasional visit. Hmmm. I need a bird-watching icon.
