While I was on walkies yesterday I observed something that completely broke my little brain. The work up on the mesa is nearing completion. It looks like they are about to pave the street off to the west of Fur Central which is one of the last unpaved streets remaining. On that street they had left a gap in one of the curbs. Yesterday they installed a drain which will essentially funnel runoff from the street directly down the mesa to where a massive flood almost took out a neighbor's house last September. There are storm drains close by, but obviously they thought it would be better to just send this water right down onto the neighbors below. I was beyond outraged. I will start making inquiries to see if something can be done. If not, I foresee a midnight foray up on the mesa with a couple of bags of Quickcrete.
