Another Foaming Furry

I have been occupying a little bit of my time here in LA by doing a little trainspotting. I had wanted to check out the Burbank Station since it is below where 2 Metrolink rail lines meet. In addition to commuter trains there is an opportunity to see a few Surfliner trains as well as the daily Coast Starlight and maybe a freight local or 2. I took albear with me and he seemed to enjoy the hobby of photographing trains. Today I took him to Cajon Pass which is a Mecca to trainfans. Not only is it a beautiful area but there is a parade of trains struggling to climb up and over the pass into and out of the LA Basin. Al got mad at me today because he came to the realization that he is a railfan at heart. It's just another bit of nerdiness to add to his resume. *LOL*

Here's a pic from today's escapade.

Another shot from Cajon

I really enjoyed hanging out at the Burbank Station yesterday. The temperatures were so comfortable and the scenery was lovely. The Art Deco theme of the station added to the ambiance.

A rare freight local came roaring through the station while I was sitting there. It was a nice change of pace from the parade of passenger trains.
